Not really surprised at this, how naive some people are who believe the Beeb and of course the CBC areand impartial.

From the Daily Mail

The BBC has been accused of "shameful hypocrisy" over its decision to spend £200,000 blocking a freedom of information request about its reporting in the Middle East.

The corporation, which has itself made extensive use of FOI requests in its journalism, is refusing to release papers about an internal inquiry into whether its reporting has been biased towards Palestine.

BBC chiefs have been accused of wasting thousands of pounds of licence fee payers money trying to cover-up the findings of the so called Balen Report into its journalism in the region, despite the fact that the corporation is funded by the British public.

Conservative MP David Davies said: "An organisation which is funded partly to scrutinise governments and other institutions in Britain appears to be using tax-payers money to prevent its customers from finding out how it is operating. That is absolutely indefensible."

He added: "I think the BBC are guilty of shameful hypocrisy. What could possibly be in this report that could possibly be worth £200,000 to bury. What is it they feel is so awful in this report."

A source close to the case said they believed that the BBC had spend in the region of £200,000 on the case so far, while another legal expert claimed the cost could be as much as £300,000.

Mass media will do anything to disguise its anti-democracy bias, especially in the Middle East. They always give excruciating coverage to every stray Israeli bomb that lands near a military target and does some collateral damage. They give one day of coverage to a suicide bombing in Israel whose sole purpose is to wipe out civilians.

And when has mass media ever asked what an independent Palestine would do with independence, what would be its economic activities? When have they asked, if Israel recognized a so-called "right of return" to Palestinians, where those Palestinians would work? Or would they be paid to make babies, something, in view of their five- to- tenfold population increase since 1948 they seem quite good at.

  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Everyone is good at making babies, not just Palestinians. Especially when boredom sets in and there isn't anything better to do.

Who gives a damn what the mass media thinks anyways?

What I want is the hard questions asked and answered. It is easy to tell Israel to jump into the sea. That is politically correct and salves a lot of Western consciences for the alleged abuse of the Arabs. Of course, maybe not for the Holocaust. The hard part is coming up with economically productive activities for Jihadis.
