B. Max Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 "The number of uninsured has grown," said Clinton. "It's hard to ignore the fact that nearly 47 million people don't have health insurance, but also because so many people with insurance have found it's difficult to get health care because the insurance companies deny you what you need." What see doesn't tell you is that a good portion of those are illegal aliens. With many of the others those displaced by the illegal aliens. Americans would have to get use to having their taxes double or triple while standing in line ups waiting for health care. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2...3349.shtml?s=us Quote

guyser Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 What see doesn't tell you is that a good portion of those are illegal aliens. That is because it does not include illegal aliens. Those numbers are for American citizens. Why include them, all they have to do is present at a hospital and receive emergency care. Quote

Only two years ago they claimed it was thirty million. I doubt American citizen ship climbed by 17 million in two years. Quote

I doubt American citizen ship climbed by 17 million in two years. Nope, those are the numbers for Americans. All estimates I have seen are in the 40 to 45M range. So maybe Hillary padded them a bit but it remains # of Americans without insurance. Why would Hillary campaign on providing coverage to illegals? She might be stupid, but she aint that stupid. Those numbers also include people who are changing jobs and that can be three months without insurance. Quote
Guthrie Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 This thread is a pathetic attack. Bush has failed to protect US borders just like he's failed to bring peace to the Middle East --- both problems are worse for his executive efforts. Now, what would the right wing Americans think about obtaining the same public health protections as the right wing Canadians have? The figure could be as high as 50 percent. Quote

Bush has failed to protect US borders just like he's failed to bring peace to the Middle East --- both problems are worse for his executive efforts. Now, what would the right wing Americans think about obtaining the same public health protections as the right wing Canadians have? It's not pathetic, it is simply the facts. One big problem I have with Bush is he won't protect the southern border. Infact there has been an invasion and Clinton and the dems want to use it to ram through government health care and jack up taxes. When she, Clinton tried to get government insurance in when Bill was president there was a huge backlash from Americans and the whole idea fell by the way. The last thing Canadians want is another system in the US like the one they flee in this country. Quote
guyser Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=43275 Thanks for the link, but it does seem that "perhaps" World Net is playing games ? http://www.cbpp.org/8-29-06health.htm http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/h...-coverage_x.htm And from the US Census Bureau.... Health Insurance Coverage Overview The percentage of the nation’s population without health insurance coverage remained unchanged, at 15.7 percent in 2004. The percentage of people covered by employment-based health insurance declined from 60.4 percent in 2003 to 59.8 percent in 2004 Seems there are some questions raised by World Net. And to be perfectly honest , even if they supported my viewpoint , I would never use WND as a source. Quote

Guthrie Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 I thought you could figure that out by the part of the quote, of your post, left un-struck Clinton and the dems want to use it to ram through government health care and jack up taxes. these, 'facts,' are nonsense Quote “Most middle-class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are routinely suspicious, rude, belligerent, and brutal” - Benjamin Spock MD
guyser Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 As you will notice WND sighted a study by Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. I had read that already. It remains unclear since they use "if" and "could be". It really does not amend the intent of the OP, I was just pointing out that official Govt sites say otherwise. Quote

Who do you think is going to pay for it. It will be just like this country. On the other hand I doubt that dems will get their hands on the white house. Quote
