B. Max Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Good luck getting the environment bill passed.http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/01/29/...ment-house.html Actually it should be called the tyranny and genocide bill. Harper has a chance to wipe the liberals and greens off the political map for ever if he would only tell the truth about the global warming hoax, and explain to the public what these opposition parties are trying to push the government into doing. By first calling the bill by its right name would be a good start. That would get peoples attention. http://www.washtimes.com/commentary/200701...92609-5464r.htm The elderly and minority workers and families would be especially hard-hit. Deaths from winter cold and summer heat waves would soar, as energy prices rise and heating and air-conditioning become luxury items. Quote

This guy says that there is global warming. You think we are having global cooling. Seems like a contradiction. Quote

The claims of the climate modelers have not proven out. Then there are the frauds and lies such as the hockey stick. Everyone of the people or links you post is generally from someone with no published papers on the subject of climate change. It is quite remarkable that you can never come up with some serious academics who actually know something about the climate and are willing to publish those findings. Quote
Ricki Bobbi Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 The Liberals do not want an election in 7 weeks...they are strapped for cash and it is too early after Dion's election. Of course not. It's all a stupid attempt by the Liberals to get the Conservatives scared. Look at how scared Martin was for most of that minority he ran. Harper is a much stronger leader, and will be able to keep control over his caucus. jdobbin Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Posted January 30, 2007 The Liberals do not want an election in 7 weeks...they are strapped for cash and it is too early after Dion's election. Don't say they want one but they aren't going to back a government indefinitely. If the budget has points that the opposition can't agree on, then we have an election. It depends. If the budget ends up on the mild side, it will pass. If the Tories stick in something meant to provoke an election, it will end in an election. And this might be what Harper wants even though he says he doesn't. Quote

And this might be what Harper wants even though he says he doesn't. The Conservatives could present an unpalatable budget and force an election, but they won't. Harper won't get into majority territory between now and budget day. He doesn't want an election unless he can win a majority.
