PolyNewbie Posted January 22, 2007 Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 watching & waiting:The Canadian way of printing money and the basis allowed for the printing is not as deemed to be the same as the USA. Not exactly the same but private bankers print fiat currency, lend it to government at face value and charge interest on it. On all of these issues, I agree with Paul Hellier, ex defence minister of Canada Quote Support the troops. Bring them home. weaponeer Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Why we fight wars has nothing to do with banks, corps or any of that garbage. We fight because we are human. We have always fought each other for one reason or another. Pick up & read a history book. Did the Romans fight for corps or banks, no, did Alexander the Great fight for that crap, no. Humans are animals, we sometimes forget that. We are more specifically, PREDITORY animals!! Quote

I'm going on a treasure hunt next summer vacation. 2.3 trillion gone was announced by Rumsfeld on CNN sept 10/2001. I must have missed something here... where was this money and where did it go? Money that the government borrows comes from the savings of Americans and people around the world. The gov't does _not_ take out loans from banks. PolyNewbie Posted January 23, 2007 Author Report Posted January 23, 2007 Riverwind:gov't does _not_ take out loans from banks. I think you should take a look at a few posts in the Wall Street/Banking governance thread or this one. There examples of government loans from banks with the dollar amounts shown. All governments take loans from private banks. Where did you ever get the idea that they didn't ? What books on Money have you read ? I would suggest John Kenneth Galbraiths Money You are not going to learn about money and banking from a government school, they don't teach it they skip over it. I took economics too.
