She is not discredited, and least of all by your assertion, that offers nothing and only discredits your own credibility.

Sure B.Max. My credibility is discredited.

That coming from someone who thinks Global Warming is a depopulation conspiracy.

What kind of answer is that?

'Fraid you're the one who discredited yourself.

Unsupported statements don't mean anything if you're trying to make a rational valid point.

Same old arguement from the left, hit and run.

Grehatrick here is another question you ignored. Please answer...

Dion is a verbose, mild-mannered academic with a shaky grasp of English who seems unfit to chair a university department, much less lead a country.

Yip yip yip, the little doggie is pulling at my socks again! And still playing his little misspell my name game, a game only he understands.

Here he is to save the day and secure another answer for a fellow poster, only the "question" he quotes is not even a question. Unless the question he needs answering is "what kind of answer is that?"

To which I would answer "What kind of question is that?"

Well Ricki? What kind of question is that? Please answer...

Cyber & Argus, I find it very interesting that both of you had the same response to me. You both decided to accuse me of promoting some kind of fascist roundup or undemocratic coup.

This in spite of me specifically citing November 7th as being the beginning of the effort to get rid of the rightwingers.

I didn't accuse you of a fascist roundup coup, you made the claim yourself. Eliminating any group from politics is an affront to democracy and freedom.

And cyber I did answer your question. The first step is to get rid of rightwingers. I would label anyone unwilling or unable to recognize the reality of Global Warming and our role in it as a rightwinger. They have wires in the brain connected in the rightwing configuration. They need to be removed from government so that some honest action can occur.
Exactly what I was referring to above. Besides, this isn't exactly the scientific process when you say "skeptics be damned."
I realize you're also wanting to know what specific programs I would support in the Global Warming fight.

Carbon tax would be something to explore. The oil sands output needs to be curbed somehow, but it needs to be enforced immediately.

There should also be a huge push by our leadership to highlight, encourage, and reward individual efforts.

Automakers need to be forced to make vehicles more efficient as well. They've been proven capable of it it elsewhere.

I'd like more details on this "carbon tax" idea you're throwing out. How would it be taxed? How much would this tax cost? Who would collect it and what would the money be spent on?

And for the oil sand idea, how do you propose the government to tell corporations to stop production? Why would you attack the Canadian economy in this way? And why would you put more power into the hands of people in the middle east who routinely commit crimes against humanity?

How do you force automakers to make vehicles more efficient? To imply that they haven't been is completely false. More fuel efficient vehicles have been all the rage for at least the past 10 years. They've been spending all kinds of money on "hybrid" vehicles and nowadays hydrogen as a fuel.

Gerry, you're going to have to do better to convince me that there are viable solutions that can be implemented immediately to meet or excede the Kyoto goals. A person's home is perhaps the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and you haven't even considered ways to reduce those. You touched on the cars that are driven, which is a fraction of the overall cause and you demand that the manufacturing sector take the brunt of the responsibility.

When hundreds of thousands of Canadians are unemployed due to manufacturing restrictions imposed by YOUR solutions, do you really think the cleaner air is going to matter when poverty drives crime through the roof?

That coming from someone who thinks Global Warming is a depopulation conspiracy.

"This is a terrible thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it’s just as bad not to say it."

http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/april...massculling.htm

This agenda for the 21st Century was signed by 179 nations at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Among other things, it called for a Global Biodiversity Assessment of the state of the planet. Prepared by the UN Environmental Programme (UNEP), this GBA armed UN leaders with the "information" and "science" they needed to validate their global management system. Its doomsday predictions were designed to excuse radical population reduction, oppressive lifestyle regulations, and a coercive return to earth-centered religions as the basis for environmental values and self-sustaining human settlements.

I'll decide, and I certainly don't need any lessons in credibility and least of all from you.

Relax. When I asked him the question:

What minority and/or disadvantaged people have you worked with or helped?

he hasn't answered that question either. You can click the "snapback" link for context. The gist of my question came when GH questioned whether I was a left winger, and I said I consider myself a true leftist, since unlike someone who pounds liberal slogans from behind a keyboard vilifying Harper and Bush, I actually routinely help real disadvantaged people, and people defrauded by capitalist businessmen.

GH doesn't like answering tough questions.

  • Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location?
  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

The next time you have a question you feel is not being answered quickly enough you should PM me rather than become indignant in your belief that you've been ignored and start expressing your indignation on the forum.

"GH doesn't like answering tough questions." you say? What utter bullsh@t. Your question is hardly tough, nor is it relavent to the question of you being left of center or not, which is where it bubbled up from. You were asked to explain what issues you take a left position on, and you dodged the question.

And now you've mixed the contents of two topics. Tell you what, you go back to the topic your precious question pertains to and give it a bump and I'll answer.

So how did you help the disadvantaged today? Oh I'm a liberal thats more then enough

Personally, whenever I hear liberals making the constant Bush Republican comparison it reminds me of why I, and most Canadians routinely ignore politics because of that BS.
