Hiya NEWBIE:

As much as I'd like to see this as a legitimate thread, I think your title is misleading, even if factually correct.

Nowhere in the article does it state that any of the deserters actually served in Iraq, so the "tired of Iraq" descriptive in the title is somewhat inaccurate.

But this is nothing unusual. We've seen the same in the USA since the war began, and we've seen the same in most wars in recent times.

I believe this is probably true in several other countries as well, we simply haven't heard about it.

I'll give you that. But it's pretty obvious Iraq war is the case for desertion, whether some of them have served or not. My point is not everyone who "signed up" is crazy about serving in Iraq.
