Montgomery Burns Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) Saskatchewan ponders business tax relief: CALGARY - Saskatchewan’s NDP government is expected to make deep cuts to its corporate taxes to keep up with its business-friendly Western Canadian neighbours. The province’s budget, due in late March or early April, is expected to implement at least some of the sweeping recommendations of a commission led by Jack Vicq that found “profits are being exported and invested elsewhere” because of Saskatchewan’s business taxes, the highest in the country. [...] The province is also encouraged by the results of British Columbia’s tax reforms. Is this true or is Calvert trying to make Saskatchewan more Amerikkkan-like? Profits are being exported and invested elsewhere? NOOOO. I'm shocked to hear this, shocked I tell ya. About a week ago, Cavert said that lowering the business tax will NOT make Sask more competitive; Sask businesses only needed to pay their employees more money to keep them. I'll believe it when these greedy Socialist Suckweasels™ actually do the right thing and allow businesses to keep more of their own money. concerned citizen Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 Harper has nothing to do with Provincial politics. Whatever the Sask gov't decides to do it surely isn't coming from Ottawa. Nice to see that the NDP can adapt to meet the needs of the people. After all what good would it do them to have businesses leave to say go to Alberta. Quote
Cameron Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I'm awestruck...I'm speechless. Socialists actually LOWERING taxes...should we call Guinness Book or Records or something? Must've been overly excited upon hearing this news and got carried away. Wish there was one of those embarrassed icons....
