scribblet Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 He may have been a civil servent under Mulroney as he worked on Mulroney's ad awards to Lyin Brian's friends and his experience was a great asset to run the Liberal ad program and he remained a civil servant throughout his Liberal gov years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By your logic, you blame a Mulroney era civil servant in your words doled out money to "Lyin Brian's friends" and that experience was a "great asset to run the Liberal program" for Lyin' Jean Chretien and subsequently Lyin' Paul. I guess, since Mulroney's replacement Kim Campbell was wiped out at the polls, so to should Chretien's replacement, Martin be wiped out as well. Deflect all you want, but, Canadians just don't believe this stuff! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed, Guite was a minor civil servant, and sure wasn't a Tory when he was involved in adscam. More smear tactics to deflect from liberal corruption. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Argus Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I was a government program used to launder money and reward those who contributed money to the Liberal Party of Canada. Yes, that was clear enough. I'm fairily certain there are many other such programs. Now you are not being honest. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which part of the above do you dispute? fellowtraveller Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 Canadians know that those who are responsible have been caught and have been charged. They also know that this is not a Liberal party thing. Well, no, that is not true. Mr. Martin has admitted that at least $1.14 ended up illegally in Liberal coffers, offered to return it, and hope that is the end of it. Those 'coffers' apparently included Liberal MPs in Quebec receiving cash money from Liberal bagmen. Mr. Cote did not answer the question of 'who received the money' though he said he knows, and Gomerys mandate does not allow him to force Cote to answer. Paul Martin has refused to answer this question, which is not an unreasonable one. So lets talk about the $1.14 million, and ignore the megabucks unaccounted for otherwise. How did Martin come up with this number, $1.14 million as money stolen and being returned? Isn't it illegal for any politician to recieve unreipted bags of cash from 'strangers'? Since when did the sole penalty for criminal activity - return of the money - be decided by and acted upon by the perpetrator? Why has there been no criminal investigation into the activities of the Liberal Party of Quebec, all their financial records seized and a forensic audit done on same? Just curious. And finally - have the Liberals actually paid the $1.14 million to the Receiver General of Canada, or is the stolen money financing yet another Liberal election campaign? Quote The government should do something.
