I think Hans Island belongs to Canada.  It may be a small island but I am sick of every pathetic whining country in the world trying to take away land from Canada to test are soverenty IE. USA with their ice breaker going into the anadian North, Spain and their war vessel sent into Canadian waters and now Denmark.  I think It is time for Canada to act on pathetic countries like these and we should start out by testing on Denmark.  Instead of dropping Canadian flags we should drop bombs and fire missiles at Denmark wipe them out take Hans Island and as a bonus take Denmark!  That will teach other countries to test us!

Who are you kidding? All our Armed Forces together couldn't protect P.E.I. from invasion from New Brunswick. Our military is a pathetic skeleton of it's former self, thanks to successive governments, especially Liberal governments dominated by PM's from Quebec.

Why are we worried about a lousy island off the north-western coast of Greenland, which we also don't own, when we have far more pressing problem to worry about like homelessness, and our own children going to bed without enough food in their stomach's. More than 15 years ago the Canadian Government made a committment to eliminate child poverty by year 2000, and here it is 2005 and the probelm is just getting worse. This is a national disgrace for a country as rich as Canada. $Billions are wasted every day on frivilous endeavors and our government is worried about an island that doesn't matter anyway. It is simply a way for government to divert attention away from their own corruption and incompetence.

Are military is doing much better today than it was a year ago considerign are troops in kandahar actually have dessert camoflage and not jungle. don;t say that Canada doesnt spend millions and billions of dollars to get rid of child poverty because we give lots more than we should be giving that is a fact. All the Africans do is spend it on their corrupt government Africa doesnt need money it needs are military their to stabilize it and secure it so a more responsible african government can take over. you must be one of those people who has a billion dollar bank account but won't empty it himself to contrubute to poverty. How do you know Hans island isn't ares. Do you know even whats going on with it? It belongs to both Canada and Denmark but the border line runs right through it so nobody is sure who it belongs to. So i doubt you do.
