The worst part of all this is the intolerance of it. It's no longer good enough to live and let live. Nobody's happy unless they're inflicting their views on the entire population. It makes me want to run out and put eight feet of chain link all the way around my front yard, topped with a few decorative coils of barbed wire.

That's rich comming from the Sun....that bastion of civil liberties and CHOICE.

Can you say exactly why you feel the Sun does not support civil liberties and "CHOICE"?

Or are you merely reflexively jerking your knee because you dislike some of the Sun's editorial positions, or one or two of its columnists?

But do they hate liberties and choice as much as the terrorists? That's what I'd like to know. Perhaps on a scale of 1-10 the amount of hate could be gauged.

Seriously this chain-link fence is a new issue for me, we don't even have them in my neighbourhood yet, let alone people wanting to take them down. I do remember though living in the Bruce Peninsula and they had some rules about what colour you could paint your place. It seemed a bit much at the time, but NO COMPARISON with the smoking, seat-belts, bicycle helmuts, spanking, obesity issues. I like the idea of somehow forcing people off junk food, just not sure how we can best do it collectively in our society.

I think I'll go out to Wendy's now before the ban takes effect!
