At 31% Harper's support are those die-hard Conservatives, so that won't change at all.

Belinda's decision was due to professional integrity. Whether or not you agree with her reasoning, no professional can continue to publically support a positon he/she personally does not support.

Peter MacKay: The only other example or this working out is to look at the history of the BC Liberals. Former leader Gordon Wilson jumped shipped, joined the NDP and had a relationship with Judy Tiabsi (sp?).

I can't see how Harper is in any better shape now than he was last year or the year before. Political leaders don't traditionally last long if their party doesn't improve, and keep improving. By extension though, you could say the CPC will be losers as well.
