Bro Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Canada is still very young as a nation, and inevitably, there are historical changes blowing in the wind.Where we go from here will depend very much on the next federally elected party .The choice is clear. A liberal win will forever leave this country mired in a state where corruption and broken election promises are the norm, and a continued slope downward as a role model on the world stage will be our fate. Increased support for the ndp,as we have currently witnessed, will leave us the same, except that there will be no fiscal responsibility at all. For you people in Quebec, the Bloq offers you a deal that sounds too good to be true, you know how that story historically plays out. A conservative win will at least try to restore our place on the world stage, and have some fiscal obligations they will tend to. And the green party, that will never be in power in the election, could diminish a strong majority government,or lead to another minority government. I sincerely hope all Canadians will take a good long look at all candidates this time, and think about where our future as a nation will be in four years, and make an informed choice. Please educate yourself on the important issues, don't vote for a party just because that is what your family has historically voted. The times are changing, and so have the parties,as we are now finding out about the liberals way of governing. However, we no longer have a Conservative Party in Canada that is Canadian, what we have today is a bunch of Neo-Con Rednecked clown 'Merican wannabes who would cheerfully break our nation apart and sell it peicemeal off to Uncle Sugar down south. As corrupt as the Liberals maybe, they are at least still Canadian, sadly the same can nolonger be said about the CA...........They are traitors pure and simple, their guilt of that charge is self evident, any one who crawls in bed with the BQ for political gain can be nothing other then a traitor, deserving a traitors fate. And no Greg before you PM me again, this is not a troll...it is my heart felt opinion. Quote

The old quote says "Politics makes strange bedfellows". I don't blame the Conservatives "or whatever they're called this week" for cooperating with the Bloc for purposes of trying to bring down the government. In our current system, it's what they do. It's how the system is set up, pure and simple. I just plain, flat out, don't like Harper. Ever since Manning left, neither Reform, or later, the Whatever-We're-Called-This-Week party, has gone through a spate of losers. Stockwell Day??? Gimme a break. I haven't seen enough of Belinda to form an opinion, perhaps she would have been a better choice. But every time I see Harper or hear him speak, he gives me the willies. Nothing I can explain, so it's all subjective feeling, but evidently I'm not the only one who feels this way. But you're right also in saying Martin has just about had the biscuit. He's lost most, if not all of his credibility lately. NDP??? I don't think so. So, this election, it looks like mine will be a protest vote. Anybody but the 3 listed above. Maybe it's time the Greens got a kick at the can. They can't really make any worse a mess than we've seen in the past 25 years. Quote I need another coffee

This is not a Liberal thing or a CPC thing or even a Bloc thing, however I can tell you that there is only one party named above that truely represents Canadian unity. Guess which one, guess ehich one is not a regional party. Guess which one is (still) most fit to govern. We're all going to hear how evil the Liberal party is in the coming months, how corrupt they are, although I am still trying to figure out how some junior ranking party beaurucrats that by the way will be charged criminally, are a reflection on a gov't that has served this country well for the last decade, guiding us through a colossal change in the world. Can you imagine if Harper had been in charge in the lead up to the War in Iraq? or was in charge of Healthcare? or dealing with Quebec during the Referendums? THATS scary. Bro Posted May 18, 2005 Author Report Posted May 18, 2005 THATS scary. No,liberal voters are scary, because they are going to one day succeed {very soon I'm afraid}in ripping Canada apart. Quote
