Argus Posted April 5, 2005 Author Report Posted April 5, 2005 I have a problem with the gun registry inasmuch as it doesn't go far enough. It should have included ballistics on all weapons that were registered. A serial number can't tell you as much as ballistics. How much money do you want to spend on a pointless exercise? Given the vast majority of criminal use of firearms is with restricted weapons - most of which are smuggled across the border anyway, a long gun registry could never be of much use.
