Argus Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Yet, here they are ... and here Guess the Tories are as likely as any other Government to direct money into their ridings, after all. From your first cite: Conservative ridings are also getting the bulk of the cash: 53 per cent Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Conservatives currently hold more than 53% of ridings? The second cite involved two million dollars, $700,000 of which was for a conservation area that was, yes, in a tory riding. Anyway, I'm not saying it doesn't happen, just that it doesn't appear to have happened nearly as often as it did under Chretien and the rest. I mean, his government moved whole government agencies out of Ottawa and into Liberal ridings across the country (why do you think there's a major tax processing centre in Shawinigan anyway?) , costing hundreds of millions of dollars, not to mention ongoing difficulties of managing their people for their headquarters in Ottawa.
