Since the Tories have lost Duffy, they seem to have found another...Laureen Harper. The article says that she ask Tories supporters to wish Harper a Happy Birthday and add a donation to it. Political parties are absurd with their fundraising tactics. I'm not kidding you, they will send you 4 emails a day asking for money if you stop donating to them.

So I send you a birthday card you are supposed to sign and send back to me. Does it get any tackier than that!

A wife asking people to sign a card for their husband is hardly a political act. If anyone should be doing that job, it's her.

Also, there is no mention of donation in the birthday card message I received.

I'm on both the LPC and CPC lists, and they seem to be competing to outdo each other to see who can annoy the greatest number of their list members. I honestly wonder if they'd be more successful if they were less aggressive.
