It all started with Rand Paul participating in a Festivus tradition called "The Airing of Grievances" on Twitter. One of his grievances: that Cory Booker doesn't retweet him often enough. Booker did not take kindly to this, and challenged Paul to another Festivus tradition: "the Feats of Strength". Paul challenged Booker to join him in reforming Mandatory Minimum Sentencing instead. Booker agreed, provided that marijuana law reforms are on the table too.
