login Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Such a mixed signal, the PM and party were all, maternal health, then they came on and knocked down a bill that would provide low cost generic drugs to Africa, something they spend $400 million dollars on annually. it is nonsensical. http://www.theglobea...article5759286/ $400 million is a pretty good chunk of money to trim from the deficit, why add half a billion in debt that doesn't need to be there annually? Guest Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 On the face of it (it was the Globe and Mail) I have to admit this is definitely something I disagree with the Tories on. Not enough to make me vote for anyone else at the moment, but disagree, nonetheless Quote
Bonam Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 I'm not sure that Canada needs to be spending those kinds of sums sending money abroad to begin with. We have plenty of things to spend money on right here at home. Quote

cybercoma Posted November 29, 2012 Report Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) What was sickening was watching the vote with the Conservatives laughing and smiling as they voted it down, which is odd considering some of their members voted in favour of the bill (defeated by only 7 votes).
