caesar Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 Local News Proposed health services contractor linked to FBIAugust 19, 2004 - 11:24 am By: Treena Wood More opposition today to the BC Government's plan to give a health services contract to a company in the US. The BC Civil Liberties Union says the company, Maximus, has stated on it's website that it is an "outreach company" for the Department of Homeland Security. The department has broad-ranging rights to investigate terrorism thanks to the US Patriot Act. The Union says if the provincial government wasn't aware of the link, it should have been. And if it was aware, the Union says the province has failed to comprehend the magnitude of peoples' concerns about their privacy. The provincial privacy commissioner is looking into whether or not the contract would violate the rights of British Columbians. A report should be released by the middle of next month. Wonderful. Repatriate our records. We can do our own data management Quote

caesar Posted August 21, 2004 Author Report Posted August 21, 2004 It really is not funny. I don't know what that twerp Campbell is pulling off. We have plenty of reliable companies in BC that should be doing this not some foreign country. He is doing his best to make sure there are no jobs for BC ers unless it is minimum wage jobs. Quote
