Scotty Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I figure it's just easier any more to ignore people that have no clue what they're talking about. I have yet to see you write on any subject with actual evidence of knowledge. You wave Stats Canada's statements in the air when it supports your narrative. When it doesn't, meh, just ignore it, right? It's all part of the infatuation the Left has with criminals. They're all good lads, just misunderstood by a cruel society. Oh if only those evil conservatives would stop putting them in prison and give them a hug instead! All they need is a little understanding! Cry for them, Cyber. Cry hard. Scotty Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 As the population increases, more prisons are obviously going to be necessary. However, changing the laws so more people are locked up and for longer periods of time, when our CJS has consistently seen a drop in crime for 40 years is a problem. It's going to create an even bigger demand for prison space. Tough. Canadians are tired of violent criminals getting a little slap on the wrist then a hug from you liberals and sent back on the street to hurt more people. The plan is going to end up putting more dangerous offenders out on the street Uhm, okay. It's going to put more in prison but put more on the streets too? Interesting logic. There's a mandatory minimum for pot plants, but not for pedophiles? When the prisons are packed to the brim and a judge has someone with a pot charge before her bench and another person with a charge for diddling a child, she'll be forced to let the pedophile walk free. As a judge, her hands will be tied over the pot smoker. That might well be one of the dumbest narratives I've ever read here. You ought to get some kind of prize. guyser Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Canadians are tired of violent criminals getting a little slap on the wrist then a hug from you liberals and sent back on the street to hurt more people. Not Canadians, only idiot Canadians who dont know how to read Stats Can's numbers and keep posting bon mots like...oh....I dunno..."Stats Canada has never said the crime rate has gone down."...or believe crime has gone thru the roof.Ya know, unreported crime. Violent criminals by and large get sentences that are lengthy and severe. The odd one, which of course every less than bright person keys on,gets some sort of break, and then people trot it out as de facto evidence. That might well be one of the dumbest narratives I've ever read here. You ought to get some kind of prize. It may seem dumb, but for the most part, it is correct. Omnibus sentences... Pot growing 200 to 500 plants -One year sentence, more if in a rental dwelling Sexually assault on a child, luring, or bestiality- One year Exposure to a child, watching a porn w a child- 90 days. Grow 6 pot plants- six months. Speaking of dumb narratives , is there a 'Hi I am waving to you icon?' Oh but thats right, I forgot watching or looking at child porn , according to you, is not harming anyone. Riiight.....maybe you could take a seat right over here. Quote
