fellowtraveller Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Ontario is the home to 1/3 of immigrants every year.and steadily shrinking. The GTA/Southern Ontario is looking increasingly crowded, expensive and workshy.Do your homework and report back. The entitlement to the wealth, energy, future? Born in the greatest Province ever created by God himself! Yes Canadians grovel, grovel you are unworthy of non-corruption. Dig! Dig! Faster! Faster! Get it before anyone realizes its gone. What the magority of Canadians want is a healthy future to evolve out of this black mess. Does Alberta have a plan after they've exported all their wealth, hat in hand back to Ottawa? You do realize it will end...you do right? No need for you to grovel, just go to your provincial leaders and tell them plainly: Albertas oild and Alberta money is tainted, corrupt dirty and we refuse to take any more of it. Period. Otherwise, STFU and enjoy the handout while recognizing how and where it ended up funding your life. Quote The government should do something.
be real Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Unfortunately for them, the Korean's and the Japanese and the Americans and the...well...everyone else builds them better and cheaper. So they can't build 'em cheap because a guy that puts a screw in a seat makes $100 grand a year, and they can't make 'em good because they're built in Canada. Maybe they could build 'em and ship 'em to, I don't know, Kewbek? Or Russia? What about taking all those laid-off auto workers and having them man the customer service phone centers for some big Pakistani or Indian corporations? Your truck was/is built in Canada. Quote

Do your homework and report back. Lordy, you really should have done the same instead of spouting ignorance around. I will improve shwa's post for you...... Ontario is increasing in population daily. Two yrs ago pop was 12.16. Currently sits at 13.2 (2010) 13.2 is bigger than 12.16. Ergo...no shrink. Immigration, Ontario gets 42.1 of total immigrants to Canada . And way back when Alberta was grovelling? Yea, we paid. Werent pricks about it either. Quote

Not just the dollar barrel but what about the great waist of energy in it's production? I live in B.C. Our natural gas helps makes the tar sands function. Soon a pipeline will fill tankers to China exporting our vast energy reserves which used up our other energy reserves to make. Stop, think, don't swear, just breath and ponder how we can do this better. Good, now sit down with the rest of your Canadian family. All anyone on this is saying is we want to do it better, cleaner more efficiant and hopefully one day, not need it anymore. The handout by the way was provided by the Canadian taxpayers, years and years of subsidizing the tar sands, it's our energy and it will belong to China. No handout needed here broskie but the federal government should be investing this tax revenue into green energy and not on the tarsands. Profitable no need. Smart step into a future when oil will be gone and energy is power. Quote

What green energy, the kind that doesn't give a positive return on investment, the kind that doesn't come close to as efficient as hydrocarbon combustion? In case you haven't noticed natural gas is as cheap as borscht right now because of shale gas. We won't be needing solar and wind for quite some time. Let it die. Not only that, the Chinese pay us an arm and a leg for said energy. We're not giving it away. I mean selling oil at below market value is not a good idea along with his ridiculous ideas with the oil sector. fellowtraveller Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Cars have a cost of production Yep, and a really high cost in Canada. The odds of Ontario retaining all its current auto manufacturing is really low. Cheaper to build almost anywhere else, and who is going to buy them in tough times anyway? Maybe McGuinty can sell some of those homegrown wind turbines to China. Quote The government should do something.

When we use natural gas to make oil we are really wasting energy. You only get one crack at it and it seems very wastful. This may be a difficult concept for you. A two trick pony province with as many people as Markham on a Sunday. Good for you Alberta, we are all so proud. You attract new immigrants. More people to pump more our oil and tend to them thar cattle. Just how we like it. Quote
