Oleg Bach Posted August 8, 2011 Author Report Posted August 8, 2011 You got that right. And what's just as amazing is that these folks who don't like America are chomping at the bit to do trade with China. Go figure. And Brazil. Quote
Oleg Bach Posted August 8, 2011 Author Report Posted August 8, 2011 Check out yourself! What's the term for someone who believes he's right about everything, with no valid attempt to have any proof? What do you call someone who uses insults for rebuttal? Perhaps you should scurry over to "rubble.com" where you can unhook your brain and just unleash copious amounts of profanity. I have a hunch it's what you use to feel better. I believe the term you are looking for is a certain state that exists within the messiah complex - It's called Oleg Bachism. Quote

CitizenX Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 The world is run by sociopaths. They are considered the norm. It is quite odd though that society is controlled by those who are anti-social. That's why they get the big bonuses. They will kill their own mother for a profit. Oleg Bach Posted August 9, 2011 Author Report Posted August 9, 2011 That's why they get the big bonuses. They will kill their own mother for a profit. Apparently they have beaten Mother America half to death and now wonder why she won't make them lunch. Quote
Yukon Jack Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 The way things are going internationally and domestically in the Unitied States Of America - Canda should take into careful consideration the idea of merging with the USA - kind of like a quiet little buisness deal. Not saying there will be a name change or a completely open boarder - Just strong and more powerful and protective ties - It looks like our two anglophone realms might have to circle the wagons pretty soon. We have no choice - as our big brother ages and falthers - time for the younger brother to step in and put a proper and protective arm around his shoulder - of course - it will be low key...Point being - If the USA goes down - we go down...no more rhetoric that is tainted in hate or spite - If we are to surive - we only have ONE - brother. Once Obama the nit wit is gone - the strong and righterous must step forward and protect the realm -the northern and the southern kingdom so to speak..a merging of nations is a must - whether we like it or not. The reason that it did not happen in 1776 was that people north of the 49th trusted the crown more than their own ability to control their lives. It will NEVER happen. Roots of the past and ways of thinking rooted in the past are just too deep. The only thing that might be analogous is Newfoundland joining the rest of Canada. It was reluctant and there are still those of older Newfoundlanders who harbour a resistance and animosity towards mainlanders. If there is any chance of such union, it would be by dumping the French speaking population of Canada. Who needs the troubles that are present today? I don't think Americans do. Quote
jbg Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Yes. The time to get on a ship is when it is sinking. The U.S. is not a sinking ship. We have a rather lousy captain at the moment but that should change on January 20, 2013 around 12 noon, Toronto time. Canada can shift ties and has been shifting ties to other nations for trade. The world demands natural resources, we provide natural resources. The U.S. is convenient and we'll lose some efficiency but merger would not improve finding new markets as the U.S. tanks. Canada would do better to maintain it's current status independently... any merger is one sided and will only help U.S. corporations exploit our resources with even less accountability than they already have. I think a merger is a very bad idea. The current arrangement works well. Both countries have similar though not identical histories and traditions, similar though not identical languages (we have Spanish as a strong second language, you have French), and economies that compliment each other. There are no active hostilities between the countries nor have their been since certain boundary disputes were peacefully resolved around the turn of the last century. Military hostilities, except for some minor raids, have been unknown since 1815. What would be a good idea would be a high-speed, passportless border. Both U.S. and Canadian troops should be free to patrol each other's seaports and airports so that the external perimeter is common. There is no need for political merger. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
