Leafless Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) You're right, that was the plan. The "elite" wanted to destroy the culture, "lifestyles" (a word invented by advertisers, by the way, and quite meaningless) and traditions" of English whites. The word lifestyle is a common legal noun. Oxford definition--"the particular way of life of a person or group." Word Web definition--" a manner of living that reflects the persons values and attitude. That's what they wanted. For....some reason, as yet not theorized. Well it did materialize. A few examples: -Trudeau's cultural reform, favoured by the elite, resulted in diluting the stature of the English language coupled with discriminating federal bilingual policies. -Foreign culture criticism of Christianity resulted in the restriction of certain Christian traditions. -The previous rejection of minimum jobs by many Canadians are now looking acceptable due to the influx of foreign third world immigrants who have created a demand for minimum jobs. What are "mimimum jobs"? Do you mean "minimum wage jobs"? If so, the immigrants have not used their foreign voodoo powers to create minimum wage jobs. Leafless Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 Meaningless. From "American Dad": "Remember when we had all the power? Now we only have most of the power!" Very galling, isn't? Boo hoo hoo. If so, the immigrants have not used their foreign voodoo powers to create minimum wage jobs. So lets see here. -You do not accept official dictionary definitions. -You see nothing wrong with a totalitarian government implementing Nazi type language laws. -You have no respect for Christianity. -You have no problem selling out your culture, traditions and financial well being to francophone's and third world immigrants. Gad, you must be a bleeding heart Liberal from the East coast. Quote

I do not accept that the inclusion of a word into the Oxford dictionary means the word is useful, or can't be better replaced by another. -You see nothing wrong with a totalitarian government implementing Nazi type language laws. I would see a lot wrong with it, if I thought that were the case. -You have no respect for Christianity. I respect the beliefs of any Christian who will respect my atheism. Some do, by the way. Do you? -You have no problem selling out your culture, traditions and financial well being to francophone's and third world immigrants. Again, I would have a problem with this, but happily it isn't the case. Gad, you must be a bleeding heart Liberal from the East coast. This is actually very close to accurate, unlike the rest of your post. With one very crucial, absolutely necessary change needed: "liberal" needs a lower-case "l." Leafless Posted June 8, 2010 Author Report Posted June 8, 2010 I do not accept that the inclusion of a word into the Oxford dictionary means the word is useful, or can't be better replaced by another. Means nothing, as most words can be replaced by a better word. I would see a lot wrong with it, if I thought that were the case. Isn't it amazing what they get away in Nazi Canada. I respect the beliefs of any Christian who will respect my atheism. Some do, by the way. Do you? A person with no values stands for nothing. Again, I would have a problem with this, but happily it isn't the case. That is the case with many Canadians who respect the culture and traditions Canada was built on and not a Canada manufactured by the liberals. Quote
bloodyminded Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 Isn't it amazing what they get away in Nazi Canada. Yeah, hey, that's not a promiscuous mischaracterization at all. A person with no values stands for nothing. You think "atheism" means "no values"? Well, anyway, you clearly think everybody should respect Christians, but Christians need not respect anyone else. Sorry, that ain't going to fly. Like I said, I will not disrespect Christian beliefs unless they disrespect me. And since you did, let's construct a joke about the size of Jesus' penis, ending with "Well, he was well-hanged." That is the case with many Canadians who respect the culture and traditions Canada was built on and not a Canada manufactured by the liberals. I think you need to be more precise--that is, offer something tangible--about what exactly was the culture and traditions Canada was built on.
