Dave_ON Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 http://www.cbc.ca/politics/story/2010/04/29/ethics-cheques.html So the Ethics chief ruled that the prop cheques (checks for our American readers) that had the CPC logo on them were "inappropriate". And the award for stating the obvious goes to... "Mary Dawson". Cheap and shameless CPC self promoting plugs paid for by the generous tax payers of Canada notwithstanding I think it's high time we had legislation implemented that depoliticized all government communications. Now of course the CPC aren't the only ones to ever do it, but if they're so concerned about the good use of tax payer's money surely they'd be on board with this type of legislation. If I receive another mailing on "Canada's Economic Action Plan" with Mr. Harper's face plastered all over it I'll likely throw up. If it's our action plan why not have a picture of the Canadian flag, the peace tower, or some guys repaving a highway? Alberta and Ontario already have such legislation in place on a provincial level why not make the federal level also? Shakeyhands Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 all the blue, in the CPC shade, was starting to really hurt my eyes... which are CPC blue. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
scribblet Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Yes like the Liberal prop cheques only they were all red LOL any one complain about them? Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Dave_ON Posted April 30, 2010 Author Report Posted April 30, 2010 Yes like the Liberal prop cheques only they were all red LOL any one complain about them? Canadian colours are Red and white. However, as I mentioned regardless as to who did what when, I think it's time we stopped with the tax payer funded advertizing for the current party in power. Let's depoliticize all government communications. Quote Follow the man who seeks the truth; run from the man who has found it. -Vaclav Haval-
scribblet Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Last but never least, Scarborough-Agincourt MP Jim Karygiannis. “Cheques like that have been delivered since parliament was invented,” he told Maclean’s. Huh Huh Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
ToadBrother Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Last but never least, Scarborough-Agincourt MP Jim Karygiannis. “Cheques like that have been delivered since parliament was invented,” he told Maclean’s. Huh Huh I'm having images of MPs from the Long Parliament handing out cheques with the Seal of the Commonwealth of England on it, "I do solemnly pay thee for the road that runneth 'tween thine village and the one over yonder hill. And remember, vote for me, and not for that Cavalier Papist." Quote
scribblet Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 LOl 'twas ever thus the only difference here is that the opposition complained about something they have always done. - Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
Shakeyhands Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Yes like the Liberal prop cheques only they were all red LOL any one complain about them? I've searched, but can't find a picture of one. Do you have a link? I'd be very interested to see that. Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
