I guess we should get some facts in here:

Faron Hall is not homeless. He has an apartment now.

Next, it appears that he was part of the drinking party on the riverbank that resulted in a woman falling into the river. He and his friend jumped in to save the woman and he was able to save the woman. His friend did not survive the rescue attempt.

After the rescue, Hall went to the drunk tank.

Now, Hall certainly seems be a person who cares enough to pull someone out of the water from drowning but in this case, the incident may not have happened at all if a drinking party was not happening at the riverbank.

Just a thought before recruiting Hall as a future MP.

You know, the acting out is just not helpful.

My point, as it was with the Bryant story, is that an event often has a different context than what was initially was reported. The rescue was heroic but what happened prior was high risk behaviour that contributed to the incident.
