Argus Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 And frankly, no one cares. Israelis are the only ones held to account for accidental or even deliberate attacks on civilians. That, of course, has nothing to do with them being Jews. Chechnyas capital was declared "The most destroyed city on the planet" by the UN after Russians relentlessly bombarded it with artillery for months. Gee, I hope no civilians were hurt! I'm sure Moscow took a great deal of time and effort to minimize civilian casualties, though! Thousands have been "disappeared" but I'm sure their human rights are being respected somewhere! Wherever they are.... assuming, of course, that they're alive, which is an awfully big assumption. But don't worry, the Russians are our friends! Or so says one liberal commentarer who, coincidentally, is among those who are so severe with the Israelis for their 'abuses'. The United Nations Human Rights Commision has never had any time or interest for whatever might be going on in Chechnia, so we know there haven't been any major problems there anyway. Chechen Problem Far From Over Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley
