Sauce for the goose...

Well, laughing at Harper might feel good for some but it doesn't actually DO something for the country! We all laughed at Dion but it was really just a waste of time. Some may not like Iggy's politics but it can't be denied the man at least knows what he's doing, which is far more than could ever have been said of Dion.

Judging things on a personal basis always seemed to me to be a cheap copout from actually deciding what works or who is actually working.

We've all had jobs where being liked by the boss meant advancement while competence was simply ignored.

Just like some spending is just urinating money against the wall (bigger cabinet, for instance) while infrastructure spending- assuming the money actually gets out there- directly and immediately creates both employment AND physical assets that we will benefit from for decades to come.

That overblown cabinet is a bone of contention with me too. I wish there was some way that the Liberals could have said, reduce your cabinet to reasonable, economic crisis size, or pack your bags. Remember the so-called economic update and reducing gov't expenses. Look around you big guy. Too many gas guzzling limos driving around too many window dressing cabinet ministers.

How much does it cost to be a member of the LPC?

I think it was ten bucks. Why do you want to join?

Somehow, it seems to me like Harper is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Iggy is in the catbird seat. Harper is first accused of being ideologically rigid by refusing to go into deficit. The Coalitionistas force him to run a huge 'stimulus deficit' or wear the name of being inflexible and uncaring.

First off, we were already heading for a deficit (in fact plopped right into the middle of one) before stimulus. No one forced him into that. If he can't run the economy during good times, how can we expect him to run it during bad?

However, right after Flaherty's economic update that got them into this hot water, our newspaper ran the story with his mug on the cover. The headline was "Jim Flaherty tells Opposition: 'Bring it On!' A few days later he was cowering in the corner with a new message. 'I'll do whatever you tell me to do'.

He asked the Opposition to bring it on, so they did. Not talking so tough these days.

Neither is Iggy. It seems that he will sup with Flaherty rather then lead a coalition. All he wanted was a dinner plate :)

No, it was that your Liberal Bias bleeds through on every post. It was apparent to many here from the get go, but it has been very apparent that you are a card carrying liberal shill and apologist.

Oh, by the way, your sources on the coalition.... I guess they were wrong. :P
