- Tony Clement, the guy who should have won, has stated that he will seek the federal nomination in the Brampton riding that he has won in the past provincially. Meantime, he has a law practice in Toronto and a $300,000 - 400,000 debt from his excellent campaign and dissappointing finish so he'll be lawyering to make a good buck until the election and he'll also be organizing and staging fundraisers to pay off his debt.

- Belinda has already won the federal nomination in her hometown riding and she is a good bet to win the election there, in the Aurora area. Her Magna gig is now being filled by daddy Frank on an intern basis while an executive search is held to indentify a permanent replacement for her. Since Belinda made just over $11 million last year, she doesn't need paid employment and can campaign for her seat until the election.

- If and when they win their seats, they are probably assured of cabinet or shadow critic posts, depending on whether the Conservatives win power or just officla opposition status.

- But neither would be interested in working in some sort of backroom position either before or after the election and both can make far more money in outside persuits.

I would guess, should they win their seats, Stephen will give them both prominent roles in cabinet/shadow cabinet.

Clement does have experience as a Cabinet Minister and it would be wise to keep Belinda in the public eye as she can obviously attract a lot of media attention.
