I can't stop laughing.

I received in the mail today an evaluation package, asking for my opinion of the work that our CPC MP has done.

Lets see..

1) The MP had a short break, then went to parliment for their orientation

2) The MP spent sometime with CPC members and a trip out west.

3) The MP went back to parliment for a few days.

4) The MP set up the office by December.

5) The MP attended the Santa Clause Parade

6) The MP went back to parliment.

7) The MP went on a paid vacation... and hasn't been seen since.

8) The MP has an add looking for an assistant as of January.

9) The MP is nowhere to be seen.

10) The MP had a great Christmas and Happy New Year.

11) The MP has been enjoying time away from Ottawa and being somewhere with family.

12) 2,200 people have lost their jobs or had their closures announced since he took office in October.

Whats the value of my MP?

PRICELESS!!!

Not to be outdone.....

IF Only I waited before posting......

I also JUST RECEIVED an EVALUATION from DION!!! Yes that DION not the singer.

Its one of those 10%ers that people like myself took the CPC to task for, for using taxpayers money for political propoganda. It seems that the cashed starved LPC have decided to play the CPC game.

My personal opinion is that the CPC should reimburse the government for EVERY 10%er that an MP sent outside of his/her riding.

My personal opinion is that the LPC should do the same.

My gut tells me that only the CPC could pay up, whereas the LPC would have to wait for more public funding to come in before they could payback the taxpayer

It appears an impossible task to clean house.... :)

This is rather interesting. I was looking up Canadian franking laws and was led to this little tidbit.

Alliance misused free mail, Tories say

"The letter, signed by new Alliance Leader Stephen Harper, was mailed out to Tories across the country by Mr. Reynolds, who has led the party in Parliament since Stockwell Day stepped down in December to launch a leadership race. But Mr. Reynolds used his so-called "franking" privileges, the free-mail system for MPs, to send the letter. Tory House Leader Peter MacKay charged that the letter was an abuse of the privilege that allows MPs to send mail related to their parliamentary functions for free."

Some things never change.

then roll up our sleeves and turn them into realities." - Michael Ignatieff

"I would not want the Prime Minister to think that he could simply fail in the House of Commons as a route to another General Election. That's not the way our system works." Stephen Harper.

Me and Madmax are saying we shouldn't be getting junk mail in the first place. My 1.95 that goes to the CPC would be better off in my pocket buying candy than being taken from me to fund junk mail. Political parties can raise their own money for their nonsense. Tax dollars should not be used to fund propaganda from any party. The only thing I should be getting in the mail from any political party is their platform.
