maplesyrup Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 (edited) Canada's looking for a bit more competition, don't you think? The score right now is 1-1, half way through the first period, in the World Junior final in Hesinki, Finland. How many goals do you think Canada will win by this time, eh? (Actually the US has made great strides in hockey in the last few years.) ---------------------- Update: the score is now 3-3. It must be a thrilling game! Another update: Americans in the lead 4-3. 3 Minutes to go! Final update: The United States of America are gold medal winners. Congratulations to Team USA who came from behind a 3-1 lead. udawg Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Congrats to the States, as much as it hurts to say. But we could have used a good, competitive game earlier in the tournament. I mean, every game before was a blowout, we never had to play at our highest level. So I think we may have slacked off a bit, after jumping to an early lead. Next year... And just a question... what the hell happened to Russia and the Czech Republic? 5th and 4th respectively, I think? Quote
