Guest American Woman Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) If women are more "masculine" and men are more "feminine" these days, I think it's because both sexes are freer to be themselves. Girls aren't forced into the fragile, fainting "southern belle' role and boys aren't made to feel that they can't show their emotions. This is good. Edited November 16, 2007 by American Woman Quote

Sure - in private is fine. But all the time? I think girls crying in the workplace is brutal. Get ahold of yourself - you're an adult! Same goes for temper tantrums and other "displays of emotion". Kind of off topic mind you. Quote
Guest American Woman Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Ummm. I don't think you got what I actually said. And no, my post wasn't "off topic." It was a direct response to an earlier post: QUOTE(capricorn @ Nov 15 2007, 07:41 PM) As I get older, I find that in the last two generations there is less and less difference between men and women. In other words, today's women appear more masculine and men more feminine. Is there such a thing today as a virile man? Is there such a thing today as a feminine woman? Quote

I woiuld make a case that in fact men can and do show their emotions. But generally we are in more control of when and how we show them - which to me isn't a bad thing at all and I would consider it mature. Quote
jefferiah Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 That's one of the things I like about Judge Judy. Judge Judy is a sharp lady. I like alot of things about her. Quote "Governing a great nation is like cooking a small fish - too much handling will spoil it." Lao Tzu
