  1. Cuba, Fidel Castro was in posesion of ICBMs, while technically these did belong to the Soviet Union, they were also on the island of Cuba. From that location they could launch missiles that could hit as far north as Hudson's Bay. So do you expect us to declare war on a nation that has made what might be a threat. Of course we wait till there is a real threat. The last time a nation didnt, Iraq happened. I have a theory you know, if the whole world kepts its knose out of other countries we wouldnt have all these threats and terrorism.
  2. The way I see it though, the real problem at hand is the idea that it is nearly 18 years retroactive. I might also remind you that without a SIN you are not supposed to be working. And as the article says they destroyed her SIN card.
  3. It seems that because of 9/11, children that were born on Canadian bases, to Canadian families, while their parents were serving the Canadian government are not citizens. Forces' babies deprived It seems that just having all this does not make you worthy of being a Canadian citizen. Most of the people who fall under this category have lived in Canada there whole life, have had SIN cards issued, and have worked in Canada, but are not Canadian citizens. I was a Liberal supporter until I read this, perhaps this is the final slap at the military that i will take.
  4. Your national pastime is baseball, ours is hockey. As you say you get interested in baseball when its in the world series. Im not a die hard fan anymore but I still get interested when my team plays. Its a game that many canadians were brought up playing, and were just naturally raised to love it. Your reference of not being able to see the puck is amusing as, last time i watched...(was a while ago thanks to American greed)... the camera followed the puck for the most part. Also, as you say the puck is black, with usually some colourful design on it, depending on where you are, and it is moving on a white backround. I really do not see how hard it is to see it under those circumstances. Also, that idea, or one similar to it was tried in the past in America but was eventually thrown out because it was pointless.
  5. I am not for polygamy, but I am a little tired of hearing how gay marriage, and polygamy would end society as we know it, and ruin the world. What link is there between polygamy and gay marriage, are you afraid that homosexuals that are married will want to have another partner as well? This whole issue of gay marriage has nothing to do with polygamy, it is all just been used to manipulate the people of Canada into being afraid of something that in reality they have nothing to fear. The facts in this situation have been twisted and mutated into something which they are not.
