The reason the Canadian press did not report on this issue is because the mainstream media in Canada is all controlled by Canwest nothing but a self intrest corporation. Canwest is a proprieter of major television and newspaper intrests. Canwest's media empire reaches 94% of english speaking canadians. They censor and fire journalist for not expressing their views. They have biased views from the middle east to Goerge Bush. So dont be at all surprised if they are not publishing important information.

Canadian and US media is controlled by a small number of multi-billion dollar corporations. Despite the fact that how we recieve information is essential in a democracy. These Corporations are aware of this and use it as a tool at thier disposal to munipulate information. So i urge others to support independent media such as www.thefilter.ca or www.buzzflash.com I would gladly appreciate others to indulge their opinions concerning the mainstream media.
