  1. "US is just in the beginning stages to conquer the planet." Maplesyrup, what kind of arguement is that. The US, as much as you would like to think their on the path to "conquering the world", is nowhere even close to that. I've noticed the EU getting bigger and bigger, if you ask me they're probably going to be the next World Governement, but then when you have France honoring Arafat after all he's done (the bad outweighting whatever good he's done), then we'll have a catastrophe on our hands.
  2. In my opinion, I'm glad Sadaam is out of power. However it was foolish for anyone to think that by removing Sadaam it would resolve issues of terrorism. I've noticed that the terrorist in Iraq operate either independently or under the leadership of America's new most wanted man. The same thing goes for Osama. Removing him won't remove the problem but will only allow some new person to come into the scene and continue his work. Terrorism is deeply rooted in the mindset, whether the US caused it or not, which they didn't. This kind of terrorism has always existed. The idea that its our way or no way is the mentality that Iraqi terrorists have. They kill because they believe they are pleasing their God and doing their people a service. No, the world is not safer by any means, but it certainly more aware of what people who live under terrorism must deal with. If you can give Bush credit for anything its for making us less naive about our world. I know a couple of people who had know idea about the Jihad (Sorry if i spelt it wrong) or what fundamentalist muslims believe about Christianity, Jews or western society in general. Bascially what I'm saying is that the world, although its not safe its more aware, and that saying something.
  3. I have a question.... While the US decided to go into Iraq because of Sadam and what not.....people were saying that Iran is more of a threat than Iraq. So now America is setting their eyes on Iran.....the place where people said America should have looked at first (In regards to weapons of mass destruction)...... so are we now saying that the threat no longer exists? In any case I highly doubt Bush is going to start anything with Iran unless he wants to be assisinated by people who already hate him.
  4. I'm sure most of you will agree that Parrish deserved to get booted out. She makes Canadians look like childish, immature whinny babies, who will stomp on a DOLL okay a Doll to make a point. I wonder how all her years in school were spent.... writing on the chalkboard I hate my teacher! For goodness sake, she's in a position that is suppose to be a respecteable one, lower the standards of it and they'll be solving our problems with rock, paper, scissors. You don't like Bush or any other policitian, show that you have the brain capacity to argue with them intelligently. Instead of with their children.
  5. I think you make a very good point
  6. As much as people like to blame Bush and Blair for everything wrong in this world I would like to hear one concrete and concise alternative to what they did. I mean everyone said they should not have gone to Iraq to remove Sadam. But what would you have done about Sadam if you were president, and don't give the old we should have talk to him bit. What would you have done after 9/11 if you were president. What would be the exact plan.
  7. if Blair is disagreeing with Bush with his opinion of Arafat then its just an excuse to break away from Bush in time for his own country's election. Its all about looking good to the people. But I feel for Blair, he's been in quite the perdicament these past few years.
  8. People at like its impossible for a Republican party to win these days. The cultural divide is there, but its shouldn't be this new phenomaena that people are making it out to be. This time its the Republican's season just like a couple of years past it was the democrats' season to shine. it will eventually turm around be the democrats all the way. But when that happens, are people going to say "Finally we're back to normal" What's normal is regular shift in power that's what has happened in the past, the present isn't any different. People really need to stop acting like right winged people are the one's out of touch with the rest of the word. They have they're own convictions, and it would be appauling if left winged people said right winged counterparts are primitive.
  9. Does that one offer a new unbiased viewpoint? It doesn't promote hatred and anti-american, anti-western behavior in general?
  10. Caesar, I know you and many other people see Fox news as biased, but don't single Fox out, My point is that all of them are biased so on the grounds that they refused Fox to be aired here because they're biased is stupid cause they're airing many biased newscatings right now. They need to come up with legitimate claims, not half baked ones
  11. Don't Canadians mooch off Americans, I personaly, see Canadians in a love hate relationship with America. Why? Cause we are addicted to they're media service, but we hate how indifferent they can be towards us. I see Canadians ready to visit the states more than they're ready to visit Halifax, or the Yukon. In my opinon Canadian need to cool off they're disgust of Americans and admit the truth, they need them whether they like it or not.
  12. I think it's ridiculous how biased the media has become. Canada refused Fox News from airing its broadcast to Canadians, because they feel Fox news is so biased, So I ask all of you, what about ABC news and NBC news. All of this is stupid, and i think it insults intelligence of Canadians cause not refusing Fox News would allow more American influence into Canada. If that is what they're cooncerned about than they should remove other biased newscasting, like ABC and NBC. Whatever happened to objectivity, I guess its just a thing of the past. But I would appreciate that ALL news media admit that they're biased instead of claiming they're not.
