  1. Canada is known as a PeaceKeeper and it is important to keep her known as such. It empowers us to lend a validated hand when handing out justice. I do not agree with the way that the Iraqi war was carried out. Now the World needs Canada to act not as a war maker but as a peace broker. No matter what you think about the reasons why the eggs were dropped it cannot change the fact that the eggs still need to be cleaned up. Canada is entwined with the world and we must work to find the solutions that will work in Iraq. Canada should remain committed to the law enforcement training branch in Jordan. Canada should remain committed to Elections Canada(the only bureaucrats who can't be threatened with firing during an election campaign) being a driving force in the process of Iraq's sowing of democratic institutions. In November the US will elect a new President. Let us assert our position prior and independent of that process. Let us decide to do what is right for the Iraqi people. That is stabilization and democratization. Then they can vote for whatever healthplan they want. P.S. Let's not send them Revenue Canada. I'd hate to have us blamed for all their income taxes after that. Any more bureacratic contributions Canada can make?
  2. Stoker To perpetuate life. If we don't then there is no life. The purpose sometimes is not the goal but the process. Much like skiing down a hill. The purpose is not to be at the bottom but to enjoy the process of getting there. When we look at the processes of life we see that organisms are constantly changing and mutating to adapt to a fluctuating enviroment. There could not be an end result because the end result would mean that the enviroment or Universe was then stagnant. So to claim a purpose other than the process is tantamount to saying that our goal in life is to die. And if a God did create us with an end result in mind then they as an omnipotent entity should have just started with the end result and saved everyone alot of time and smoting. I have always wondered about the fact that God created everything yet he only wrote one book. Are not all books by-products of God if you subscribe to that ideology of a anthropomorphic book publishing God? daniel Aristotle called it indemonstrable premises. YOU have to make certain unprovable assumptions in order to make logical deductions. If you use premise one and premise two to make conclusion one you can never use conlcusion one to prove your first premises. The whole science of math is considered arbitrary so when Quinn's Indespensbiity of Math in Natural Sciences stands unopposed it clearly idicates that it is not just the Bible that is built on an indemonstrable premise. Science itself is a faith in the first assumptions which can never be proven. Never be fooled in thinking that science is less than an art than religion.
