I find communists funny, you really are... I think that anyone who thinks that we can have a utopia where everyone has the same really needs to go somewhere that has had communism and see what a joke a "5 year plan" does. A socialist regime spent BC to the brink because the unions said it was good for jobs, They were right, there were lots of jobs until the government stopped paying everyone and the lack of a market for the high speed ferry cost the BC government over a billion dollars with no long term improvement. The only thing stopping BC's economy from falling the the dope growing on Galliano Island and not what is done in Victoria. Face it, centralized goverment planning, which is what you need under a communist government, can never compensate for the changing needs of the people or the environment. We can't get a passport in an hour, do you think we can have the government to change its policy on grain reserves fast enough? Market-based economies are more robust and compensate for changes faster than a government can plan or force. If we need tractors, tractors appear. A socialist is someone who doesn't have the guts to admit he is a communist, just like an agnostic is someone who isn't ready to say he's an atheist just in case... So I invite you socialists to go to a socialist country and see people planting gardens in their yards to feed their families because they can't count on a paycheck...I am sure they would be happy to trade places with you and you can explore that paradise.....

Why is it that old crony politicians assume that any extra money should slide right into their pockets???? And yet later on in you article, Goodale shows how the Liberals classic FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) tactics really show how much contempt theyhave for the common man in this "democracy": "Don't vote for the other political parties, I mean, they can't possibly do as good a job as the Liberals can.... well except for the hundreds of millions we wasted on the Sea King replacements contractcancellation....and except for the sponsorship scandal and a few hundred million there....and all that money that goes to CIDA and foreign aid ata time when homeless rates soar....and that we let out contracts withouta written agreement....and all that money we steal from the provincestransfer payments to balance the federal books...of course who can forget there was the promise to scrap the GST..." The Liberals have total contempt for us, so much so they thought it was acceptable to go one year WITHOUT a budget for a multi-billion dollar organization. Would any company survive with it's creditors like this? Do you think this sort of stupidity does not cost us at the money markets? Our credit rating makes or breaks our future and whether or not stuff gets done. And Liberals dare to suggest that they are doing a good job? They laugh at Klein, when Klein and Alberta have a higher Moody's debt rating than the federal government of JAPAN ladies and gentlemen, not just FLOTTAWA.... A Liberal claiming he is doing a great job is like Microsoft telling you there are no flaws in Windows. Pure fluff. The rest of us have to work harder and longer just to make ends meet in this competitive workplace that is accelerating. And yet these politicians think that it is okay to use the same lame tricks. And we won't notice the fact that they have done little to measure their own performance, they obscure mistakesthat would get the rest of us fired, and they expect us to vote for them because they are the kinder gentler party. Pure BS, they are faster to sell out unions and privitize. In fact Jean Cheatien, our past PM, found the best solution: Make Crown Corporations where you can dictate what they do and say it is private business, then have them carry out government business and claim they are not accountable to the people.... Show these contemptuous idiots that we are not going to take it any longer. We work to hard and have to little time to worry about doing the Liberals job for them as well. I don't care if you vote for the Natural Law Party, just show the LIberals the tread on your shoe as you dust them to the curb.... Cheers! Dave
