Just watching the news. Dion Duceppe and Layton just signed the agreement. Dion and Duceppe sat close together. The seperatist/socialist and idiot show is about to begin. With Dion at the helm I can't wait to be the brunt of the international comedy circuit. A bloodless coup is about to take place.....well so far anyway.

Their only goal as stated is to break away from Canada and to look after only Quebec until that is done. Do they run outside of Quebec? In my view to have a say in this issue you have to have Canada's best interest at heart and I don't believe you can honestly say they care.

I have been in a few of those countries.....I would rather live in Canada thank you and live by the "normal" way of Electing Governments.

Exactly my point. If we look at it purely from that point....people had the opportunity to vote for or against a person they wanted to represent the country as PM. That may be taken away from them and have a unknown PM appointed for them without the vetting process. Is that democratic?

The majority of people in Canada voted for the Conserative Party to run the Government....period. Not for the three stooges to sit in a back room and plan the overthrow of the peoples wishes. Now you can say it is allowed for in the Constitution however most people in this country believe that the winner is the ONE Party with the most votes.

Yes you are quite right however I as well as alot of people voted against Dion as they had Zero confidence in his abilities. In doing this they voted for the person running in any party with the exception of the Liberal Party to ensure Dion was not the PM. This is all I was saying and here now he may just become the PM. I use to vote Liberal until he became the leader and doubt I will ever again with what is going on. I fought for this country and have certain beleifs and one of them is the hope that our Government and our Constitution would never be abused like this.

If the Liberals and New Democrats adopt the same platform I would agree but they are so far apart hence separate party. This is just plain the seizing of power. The GG should reject and send it back to an election and let the democratic process work. I am sure the liberal Party would not exist afterwards.

OK. I will walk you through this. Who will be the PM? How many votes did their party get? Historically is that their party best or worse showing? Is the PM in Canada not the head of the Government? The PM is still the leader of the country unless you think that when the PM gets an invite to the White House he brings along Duceppe and Layton. When people vote in this country they do not vote for 3 parties to govern and then spin the wheel for who is the PM....

Well if you took the separatist issues out of the equation then they may get somewhere. At least it would be a start

The Constitution needs to be updated when it allows a party with the lowest vote in Canadian history to seize the power of Government.....or the people. Bad things could happen to a country when the peoples vote is overturned and control is seized by an unpopular party with the help of a party the wants Canada separated anyway. We do not have to look far in this world to find issues with people and unpopular Governing parties

We have a Separatist a Socialist and a bumbling Idiot threatening to take over the Canadian Government in what I see as a political coup. The Liberals have the lowest vote numbers in Canada and they feel they have the right to now seize power. I understand that they technically can legally do it however why have an Election if the results of what the people want is thrown out. As far as I am concerned this is just one step above one of our Generals seizing power in the name of democracy.
