The Islamists once consisted of mainly moderates as Somalia has a history of being a very moderate country however when it was overthrown from power it started turning more radical. Fact. Anyone with any knowledge of my region would know this. Within the next year, the Government US and Ethiopia protect will be overthrown and Yusef will most likely be killed and the Islamists will be re instated in power. Dijoubti, Eitrea, Somaliland, Somalia I have lived in the 3 out of 5 of those countries listed and i know East African Muslim countries are very moderate. This has just been occuring in Somalia because of the fact the moderate Islamists was overthrown from power by a Ethiopian/US backed Government which has led to a more radical extremism to take place. There is growing discontent with the Islamists and their interpretation of Islam but Somali's cannot fight against those with the weapons inside Somalia.

Pirating has been happening for decades in Somalia. It is only recentley it has gotten attention. During the brief period of power where the Islamists had control, they had all but eradicated pirating however a Ethiopian backed Government overthrew them and pirating as a result has increased tenfold. Not to mention decades of dumping radioactive waste must have pissed the pirates off.

This has only started happening because of the Islamists increased influence within Somalia. Sub-saharan Muslim countries have always been historically very moderate. Using this rare case of stoning to condem the majority does not work

Then i think that Muslims would be very pleased. Its obvious how Muslims would react if Israel left the Arab/Muslim dominated Middle East. They shouldn't have taken a Muslim country to begin with, the reparations for the Holocaust should have included a part Germany to begin with.
