  1. In Texas there are many kinds of proposals coming up regarding the amendment procedure of the constitution. In the latest scenario it is to provide for six-year staggered terms for a board member of a regional mobility authority. The issue is related to the constitutional law that deals with the staggered terms for a board member. As it is for a term of six years, the proposal is to lay emphasis on the same. The proposal aims at the authentication of the terms for the members in a regional mobility authority. It is trying to check out the perspectives that are relevant to the aspects related to a six years of term for such a member. As under the recent constitutional amendment there is the provision for the authorizing committee of legislature to provide for six-year staggered terms for a board member of a regional mobility authority, the new proposal wants to have some rectification in it. The new proposed amendment as stated by the local correspondent David Disiere, is for the modification and amendment of Section 30, Article XVI, Texas Constitution. It has been made to allow board members of a regional mobility authority to serve six-year staggered terms without any hassle. The proposal is to make the term of six years a worth being for these members. The proposal is forwarded in order to give the members more time in making the assignments and the projects work with better perspective. The purpose is also to make the members work with all their efforts and the sense of stability for better outcome. By making the term as long as six years; the aspirations are that it will bring a kind of stability and static consistency to the activities of the member.
