I do not care what country it is the only one you can link to all of us is Africa because that is where all our ancestors started out from anything past that is a migration invasion or immigration of some sort so all other arguments about some special link to any other land is crap. Every nation on this planet has been conquered by another at one time and every one of the treaties put in place at the time has been broken as well it did not just happen to the the natives. You can study archeology all you want it does not change the origin no matter when it happened or weather the Natives came from Africa through Asia or Europe they did not originate here. This did not start out trying to pick apart bill c-31 it was a simple statement that within the bill and the bands there is discrimination of Natives by Natives due mostly to gender and how some like to ignore this fact. and it is still happening today. The main difference between being an African American or even Native American and being Native Canadian is that the African American's and Native Americans is they get nothing beyond what they earn themselves it is interesting because yet they seem to do well. The fact is is that Natives are more responsible for keeping the public out look on them the way it is not the white male and they need to accept responsibility for it. My point is and has always been there were wrongs done hundreds of years ago but not by any one living today and we have paid all that needs to be considering there is no proof of ownership to this land by the natives. It is fact that they did not originate here either. If I was here first is the argument it is no better then I took it and you cant take it back. So we all need to be realistic about a solution to this problem and to continue this 2 tiered system is not. The simple solution to ending the racism is to treat all people the same, most of the animosity towards Natives is because of the benefits that are given them and not the rest of the Canadians regardless of race or gender. C-31 is about non status because they lost their status due to things like marrying non Native men and Those who lost their membership in a band through sexual discrimination in the past, can apply to regain membership. that is a fact so read on instead of as usual seeing only what you want to. Social conditions on reserves are what the natives make it and I and know one else are responsible for those conditions if you can not get things together maybe you should look to your own leaders instead of passing the buck. The BNA act of 1867 was not just about controlling natives in some of the same sentences it includes Japanese and Hindu. You might also want to look at what the women of all races, they were subject to restrictions as well. It is clear that it was about all of Canadian rights and laws there were amendments to it as well later giving the natives, women, and other races the right to vote, as well as other rights. You read only what you want to looking at it from a heliocentric view instead of the big picture and that is why your arguments are always flawed and full of name calling. That is looking at it from a legal stand point I do not agree with all that was done in the past but the Natives are hardly the only ones effected by it so get of the pore me trip others have been able to do well and the only difference is they were not babied like the natives, which gave them the incentive to do something on their own.

You know what I think you are right we do miss manage the fisheries and wild life both cultures are guilty but we should limit all including the natives if we did not allow them to over fish and hunt we might not be in the predicament we are in. I think one could argue this on all points the moment you give one group free rain on all resources and they are not accountable there will always be abuses and this fact is at the heart of this discussion, it does not matter who was here first we are all here now and if we do not fix the underlying social and economical issues we all loose. If the natives are truly equal and capable of running their own lives (though I do not believe we run their lives for them now)they must prove it the lame excuses do nothing but keep themselves down it is time they were left to their own accord like the rest of us and what happens, happens no culture is perfect there will always be vagrants of all races but they should all have the same resources to help themselves not some better than others. The opportunities afforded to the natives have been wasted and should be granted to all Canadian citizens. This is the simple formula to make Canada as a whole better. The fact is there are still people immigrating to Canada and there will always be, we are truly multi cultural and we need to quit segregating the rights if it is ever to be cohesive we must have the same rights for all.

It is yet to be proven that Natives were the first ones here and even if they were they are still a conquered people, just because we are stupid enough to indulge them does not change the fact. They lost there fore should have no special rights I have always been surprised that they do not have special parking as well. Take a look at a 200 year old European map now look at it today yet some how you don't have millions of French, German, Swiss, Italian, English ect. crying about who was where first. As I have said in the past Natives did not originate in North America either, a simple genetic map can and will prove that. There for they have no better claim to this land than anyone else. Peawanuk is more northern I think it might have been called Winisk at one time but is almost right above pickle lake but there is no road between them most of the northern reserves and mines are fly inn from that point or you have to drive a very long way around

I will take a step down to your level for a moment, Once an idiot always an idiot and your mental impotency comes across in all that you say. I have been standing on my own to feet for quite some time now. I have never collected E.I Well fare or any other social hand outs but I have been paying into them for many years now. Take a look around and quit singing the same old song nothing was stolen you have no proof natives were here first and one can prove through genetics they are not native to this continent there fore they have no more right to it than anyone else does. and if they disagree I suggest we do a bit of testing just to see but somehow I think this will not go over to well just like other archaeological evidence of Europeans predating native culture on this land. These sort of things tend to get covered up pretty fast. To put it bluntly the reason we do not just simply cut them off is most would just starve or die of exposure and we are not accustomed to doing things like that.
