so honda is moving a plant to the states? We are gaining the engine plant in aliston, right across from where the plant is now. They make the ridgeline there now as well, but most of the civics made are from Aliston, on.

like I've said, if we were to go to their countries we would be lucky if someone didn't try to kill us.I understand they want their stuff to but they moved here. If you didn't like our traditions why did you come here?

I somewhat understand the 50 over thing. But lets face it the only reason it was passed is because they said it was for street racing. If they had said what they have been using it for, 70+ year olds, mothers taking their kids to hockey and basically that it was an easy way to get money out of people there would have been a fight. They really haven't gained anything but money from it, Withing 7days if they have the cash those people are back on the road. Oh and btw you don't have to own the vehicle as far as I know to have it impounded. They take the car (I would assume unless it was STOLEN!) regardless, this applies to people from the US as well. If your in ontario and your speeding 50 over car is impounded 7 days and license (don't think this applies to the us) is also suspended for 7 days. But when the opp and tow trucks are lined up in LONG LONG rows down the 400 series hwy's how do you say it's not a money grabber? Don't kid yourself, this was the intent of the law, they just wouldn't say it those shift workers are the people that can pay the money, an 18 year old kid driving a 15+ year old car can't. the shift workers have to, they need their license and car to work to support their families. Yeah I have noticed the lack of rights people in ontario have. From no smoking in your OWN CAR to cops having the right to say this is how it is I get the judgement. It scares me because as much as we all like to try to avoid this fact, ticket quotas have them doing illegal stuff as it is. Bet I'm not the only one who was pulled over for 80 in a 50 when you were doing 50 (fully loaded mini van, from a stop sign up a hill which was maybe 100 feet and there was a cop there). You think it's bad being an older person, try being young on the roads. You don't have to do anything wrong to be harassed with them just looking for something. They harassed me as to why I had 2 coffee's in my car as if it was a crime to go get coffee for you and someone else. Also remember that law doesn't just apply to 50 over but acts of driving the cop feels were dangerous. I think it should apply to cops and after recent events of seeing a crusier go from the left shoulder ont he qew cut 2 semi's off and a car just about causing a pile up because the semi were ALL over the place I will be carrying my camera. Filming those cops that do 150+ just to profile cars on the 400 or who go through lights using their lights. I won't go to the OPP with it as they will probably do nothing, I will go to the news for everyone else to watch .

I personally look at it this way. If you immigrate here but then can't afford to live here, they should go back to their own countries. We are at the point of supporting other nations by bringing them in. You look what older generations of immigrants went through to be here. They didn't show up and expect hand outs. They showed up and worked like no tomorrow because they came here with NOTHING. don't let alot of the immigrants fool you, they are not BROKE. Italians for instance. Came here but they had almost nothing there and moved here in hope to actually work to better themselves. People are getting to lazy. I think they want us to be to accepting to their values and beliefs to the point they are wanting us to ban our own and throw them out the window... If we went there do you think we'd be accepted and they would allow us to celebrate our own religious holidays and traditions? NO most of those countries would kill us for being westerners. I am not saying we should take away their rights and tell them they can't do this and that. But we shouldn't change our laws to accomidate everything about them.

I have this to say, It's not starting to head south it's been doing so for quite awhile. Stricter importing laws for the states are costing companies a fortune. It's Expensive to do manufacturing in Ontario. It's not that companies will start moving to the states. It's they are now! I've dealt with it, it isn't fun. Because the company won't tell you they are planning to move they will just start laying people off and then leave the country. But in this it doesn't always work out for the company. They don't all move over there and have a happy ending. JessEm the company I worked for seems to be great but one of the cabinet companies another job I worked for distrubuted for went under because of the move, their orders used to be filled within a couple days when they were in Pickering. Once they got to the states it went from a couple days to a couple weeks to a couple months to we don't know when we can get them to you.

who's kidding, the next ban will be homes with children. If they really wanted us to quit they would give us numbers to help lines in the packs of smokes like the states do. Here in Ontario you get what it does to you and so on. Who cares? not many people any more since most of us even an hour plus away from Toronto are dealing with the unhealthy smog from there! Barrie used to be a nice place in the summer. Last year it was like a perma fog... For what you breath in walking around from all the factories in the world. Yes that includes other countries are the planet does have a jet stream, smoking isn't really hurting you that much.. If you think quitting smoking will stop you from getting cancer your sorely mistaken. I personally think alot of the health effects of smoking are bogus. Seems like something new causes cancer every day. I'm not saying it's making your heath better, but it's not doing as much damage as people think. You could not smoke a day in your life or be around smokers but still get any of the things that smoking causes. If smoking is a gaurnteed cause of all those things then why are there alot of people who have smoked for 40 - 50 years that have non of them? It just apparently increases your chance. It's all about money, people forget that. This law, the stuff to get us to quit smoking and even the smokes themselves are all about MONEY! Very little in this world now a days is about anything else. Rights are bogus, they can do what they want when they want. We voted them in, and if you didn't vote STFU! And I'm with Wild Bill, alot smokers (and people who used to smoke) are more fun. I usually ended up standing outside with them when I didn't smoke because the conversation was more lively than inside with the non smokers. I also want to agree with the stuff on the first page about the window open... UNLESS you have more than 1 window open. If you open 2 windows it's just circulating it around till it leaves the car.
