I understand that the CBC is a crown corporation but I'm having trouble understanding what this means under the law. More specifically, would the CBC, w/ under RWDSU v. Dolphin Delivery Ltd case, have the Charter be applied to them when in court with another private party? RWDSU v. Dolphin Delivery Ltd - SCC ruled that Charter applies only the governmental actions and not between two private parties.

That $1M would hardly make a dent on the budget, and was pure politics. There's no doubt that he was banking on the fact that the news would pick up regardless of how loud he was about it and that his quietness would play off even better. Politics is politics is politics. An extra four years would make a lot more than $1M in corporate contributions.
