  1. Drea- You don't see a difference? Let's make it a bit more clear. 1- Depicting the prophet Muhammed (pbuh), already an insult to Islam, in a way that is degrading. 2- Denying a historically verifiable event, the Holocaust. If someone were to draw a picture a Moses urinating on the 10 Commandments or eating children, it would be equivalently insulting. In fact, several Arab propaganda posters depict "Jewish Vampires" feasting on children. Denying the Holocaust would be like denying the Crusades or denying the bombing of Hiroshima. If you want to be stupid, you're allowed to be (except in Germany and Austria)- but you can not TEACH it or spread HATE with it. MS
  2. It is illegal to deny the Holocaust in Germany and Austria. Anyone else in the world has the ability to deny that such an event took place. However, given the mountains of evidence, one might wonder at your motivation.
  3. Wow, I need goloshes up to my neck to navigate this pile.
  4. Jews have always been a good test of freedoms. When Europe decides to stop playing ostrich, things will move.
  5. The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot explains a lot of this. Though numerous authors have touched on it, including Ken Wilber, I find Talbot's treatment of how mind, matter and consiousness interact to be the most complete.
  6. Ra is the sun god in mainstream ancient Egypt. However an entire cult existed that declared him the ONLY god. "The only important god who was worshiped with consistency was Ra, chief of cosmic deities, from whom early Egyptian kings claimed descent. Beginning with the Middle Kingdom (2134-1668 BC), Ra worship acquired the status of a state religion, and the god was gradually fused with Amon during the Theban dynasties, becoming the supreme god Amon-Ra. During the 18th Dynasty the pharaoh Amenhotep III renamed the sun god Aton, an ancient term for the physical solar force. Amenhotep's son and successor, Amenhotep IV, instituted a revolution in Egyptian religion by proclaiming Aton the true and only god. He changed his own name to Akhenaton, meaning "Aton is satisfied." This first great monotheist was so iconoclastic that he had the plural word gods deleted from monuments, and he relentlessly persecuted the priests of Amon. Akhenaton's sun religion failed to survive, although it exerted a great influence on the art and thinking of his time, and Egypt returned to the ancient, labyrinthine religion of polytheism after Akhenaton's death." On Hinduism, you have never read the Vedas if that is your understanding. From the Gita society, commentary on the Ken Upanishand: In Sanskrit the meaning of a word is based on the verbal root from which the word is derived. The word “Brahman” (also spelled as “Brahma”) is a noun derived from the verbal root “Briha” which means to become big. Thus the noun Brahman derived from the verbal root “Briha” means “bigness”. In English, however, the word Brahman is not translated as bigness, but as Absolute Reality. Let us first examine the meaning of Absolute Reality. Absolute means ultimate, independent, existing all by itself or complete by itself, and reality means nature, quality, or substance of objects. Thus Absolute Reality means ultimate nature of objects, called Brahman in Sanskrit. This word also means the substance that exists independent of all other substances and from which all other substances are derived. That from which the origin, sustenance, and dissolution of this universe are derived is called the Absolute (BS 1.01.02, TaU 3.01.01). Thus the Absolute Reality, the substance from which everything is derived, must be “Big” or limitless, because everything else is either derived from it or is included in it. Because it is absolute, there is nothing else other than the Absolute Reality, the substratum of everything. Thus Brahman is all encompassing substance --- the root cause of everything, known or unknown, seen or perceived, feelings or emotions, thoughts or things. Everything is included in the “Bigness” of Brahman. Nothing is left out --- including God. Brahman is indestructible, dimensionless, beginningless, and limitless. It cannot be measured, seen, or described by a human being that is limited in everyway. Brahman is ever present and beyond time and space. Actually time and space are included in Brahman. It is the ever present reality of all objects and is also called “Sat” or permanent in Sanskrit. It is also present in the form of consciousness (Chit) or awareness in all living beings that cannot be seen or felt. Brahman in the form of awareness is not present in non-living objects, but Sat is present in both living and non-living objects. Brahman is also limitless (Ananta). Thus Brahman is referred as Sat-Chit-Ananta, or Sacchidananta from point of view of all objects, living or non-living. You are entitled to your opinon, but you are anthropologically and theologically uninformed- and therefore incorrect. MS
  7. Entire groups of Hindus are Panentheistic which is a form of Monotheism- this group worships Brahaman alone. A cult of ancient Egyptians worshiped Ra and called all other gods false. Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, but born a Hindu- said there was only one G-d. Bab, the founder of Baha'i was Persian and he believed in one G-d. What you believe is irrelevant- its how you act that matters.
