No one is born a bigot and therein lies the conundrum: like habitual subordination of women, most of it starts at the kitchen table; it's intergenerational which leaves education with the onus to teach against this colossal ignorance.

For the life of me I can't understand why Canadian leaders adamantly refuse to invest in clean energy but fiercely protect big oil and the extractives, the source of climate change and a litany of other things. And they defend their destructive, irresponsible behaviour with lies. Are we all such fools as to just continue to let them do it after, what, 40 years of professional council against fossil fuels. Instead, they need to be brought to account for forcefully supporting power brokers for their money, for what they have done to the country, their own constituents, and all our kids.
