  1. Now who's the liar... that's right Gilles.
  2. Haha, agreed . In all reality the idea of spoiling your ballot or making it 'not count' is stupid. If you're going to bother going out and voting you might as well choose the person who will best represent your interests.
  3. Exactly, I don't think it would be so bad if a party 10 seats short of a majority (but has the most seats) made a coalition with another party that would be fine but if the opposition parties all gang up and take power that isn't right in my mind. I think the situation is that no one can agree on what the agreement actually meant. To some, it is just a suggestion to the GG but to others it is the same thing as what the liberals did. In my mind, it isn't really clear and doesn't look like the power grab that the liberals were spear-heading.
  4. Hahaha, that'll make everyone happy .
  5. Oh but there is no need to worry he has now made a press release saying the coalition is off the table (unlike a gst hike) . You never know what could happen after the election if they opposition forms a coalition.
  6. That's right! CTV was broadcasting that there has been speculation about it but I doubt they would do it.
  7. Thanks for explaining that. I was pretty young in 2004 so I didn't really remember and now on CTV they are broadcasting The Bloc talking about how Stephen Harper is a hypocrite and that he was ready to form a Coalition with them. CTV really wasn't explaining it so thank you .
  8. Can someone clear up for me if they were actually trying to make a coalition in 2004 or where they trying to do something else?
  9. It wouldn't be such a bad idea if they did. They are wanting to do anyting to stop Stephen Harper from getting a Majority. The issue is, without a majority we will never be able to go more than 2.5 years without an election zzz.
  10. Haha. It is true, any time I'm talking about politics with someone here they're first thing they say is they will not vote liberal. If there is any chance that people will vote left of centre they will vote NDP over Liberal.
  11. Haha, the Liberals really don't have a chance at all. In quite a few of the Alberta ridings the Liberals got thrid place being beaten out by the NDPs for second.
