Harper has done nothing in the last 5 years as prime minister, if he left now he'd have no legacy. Mulroney was the best prime minister in recent times.

Christy Clark is the new Premier Designate

We've had two "elected" female premiers in Canada and we will have at least a third one by the end of the year. -
I don't think polls are useless at all but I don't think polls outside of a campaign are that important or are a good prediction of what will happen.

I always liked Prentice but I doubt he'll run for the leadership and I don't think he'd be able to win. I really like James Moore as well as a lot of others I listed.

I cannot stand Haper and would love to have a new Conservative Party leader so I could vote for them, who would you like to see as their next leader? I gave lots of options.

I like the idea of Gay Mar leading the PCs. -
Coast Guard service is a federal responsibility, how do you know any money is wasted on people not being "properly prepared", accidents happen even when you're prepared. The fact is it takes over 2 hours for coast guard to respond in Canada while it takes 15 minutes in other countries. There's obviously no sense saying anything to you because you obviously have your mind made up like Gallant.
-
That is not what she said at all. She said people shouldn't expect the Coast Guard to save them. People aren't idiots because they run into trouble in the Atlantic Ocean. Were the people who died on the Cougar Flight idiots?
-
How can you understand where Gallant was coming from? Newfoundland and Labrador ended up with some great MPs. 4 out of our 6 Liberal MPs are critics in the official opposition shadow cabinet. St. John's really lucked out with Siobhan Coady and Jack Harris(who is mine). Both of them are some of the highest-profile members of their caucuses and have been excellent in the House. Siobhan Coady is particular does a lot in her riding, she has town halls at least once a month and is usually acompanied by another Liberal critic.

Would the liberals win with LeBlanc as leader?

This video goes a bit overboard but it does show his interview with Shelly Glover in the end which made him look really bad. I had seen him do the same thing in another interview, he needs to learn how to control himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW92EK2szNM -

It takes more then being a good public speaker to be Prime Minister. -

I've seen plenty on him and do like him but I don't think he is fit to lead a country. -

I see no leadership qualities in Justin Trudeau at this moment, the only reason people think he's leadership material is because of his last name. -

The Liberals need their "Brian Mulroney", someone from outside the political realm who can come in with a clean slate and bash Harper. -

Why because he hasn't tried to do anything significant? -

Yes I'm sure that's why he hasn't shaved, he's planning a leadership bid. -

Just because they haven't doesn't mean the can't. Unless they can win seats in Western Canada they will never form a majority government again. -

I like Justin Trudeau but I do not see what would make him a good leader. I also don't think he would do well in Western Canada. -

I think Dominic LeBlanc would have made a great leader. He's french but not from Quebec, I think he would be able to appeal to Quebeckers but also some Westerners who may be turned off by another Quebec leader. He's young and would be able to connect with younger voters but he also has a lot of experience in politics. He's very smart and when he ran for the leadership he was able to attract supporters from both the Martin and Chretien camp. I cannot imagine there would be much the Conservatives could attack him with. He's definitly one of my top picks for leader. As for Justin Trudeau he needs work. I've seen him interviewed several times with other MPs, probably on Power Play, and he's come off as very ignorant. He cuts people off when they are making a point he doesn't agree with instead of waiting for them to finish speaking, it makes him look really bad. He has absolutly no experience either. Maybe in 10 years.
