Published: Saturday, March 24, 2007"

Important excerpts:

Former Okanagan Coquihalla MP Jim Hart issued a statement ... But the statement only muddied already murky waters about whether any financial exchange ever took place ... Hart said ... [Stockwell] Day told his first caucus meeting in Ottawa that anyone who resigned early "would bear no financial losses."

In 2000, Day had just been elected leader of the Canadian Alliance and was seeking a safe riding to run in a byelection for a seat in the House of Commons. Hart stepped aside and Day won ...

[in the fax] Hart detailed the amounts that he had been promised by [Rod] Love and expressed frustration at delays in getting the money. ... Hart wrote to party executive director Glen McMurray. "... My resignation was contingent upon this negotiation."

Already been investigated, and this is the what, 3rd thread on this?

Geoffrey really, you know as well as everyone else that new evidence of a crime being committed has surfaced, it needs to be investigated.

by that token you could say that the Gomery Commission investigated all of the Adscam affair and it no longer needs to be investigated, surely you'll agree that if more people are involved there that you would want them investigated and charged criminally?

Well, so far these poll results are pretty clear. I wonder if I should email them to the Conservatives so they get a sense of where people stand on this issue. (Or, maybe 'Michael Bluth' will call the results in to them.)

Well, I guess I was wrong about Stock resigning today.

But surely by the end of the week there will be some action on this significant matter wherein, the evidence appears that someone breached the Criminal Code.

Surely no-one who takes law and order as seriously as the Conservative Party would allow this kind of stinky situation to fester!
