steamboat Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Unless there's a voting surge before Thursday, Dalton McGuinty is poised to win the third weekly Turkey Award, the booby prize in Campaign Megastar, a fun online reality show at the Ottawa Citizen's website (ottawacitizen.com). Each week, readers vote for their favourite performance by an Ontario party leader during the previous week of the campaign. Each episode includes multimedia features reviewing the week for each leader, and comments (some very funny) from a panel of judges : a newspaper columnist, an image consultant and stand-up comic. Readers vote online and can add their comments. The leader with the fewest votes each week gets the Turkey Award (Hey — its a Thanksgiving election). John Tory collected the most votes in the first week, and Howard Hampton in the second, but almost no one is voting for the premier, which has made him the Turkey winner for Eps. 1 &2 — and it look like he's on the road to a three-peat. So does this mean that Dalton is in more trouble than the conventional polls suggest, — or that Liberals just don't know how to use the Internet? Quote
Kapitän Rotbart Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I'll go with the latter based on the few Liberals with whom I am willing to converse... they either don't surf the Interweb or they smoke dope, meaning they don't surf the Interweb often or at least not for politics.
