I was directed to this book a while ago and just read through the first few essays. It's almost certainly destined to be one of those books that someone dusts off 50 years from now and elevates into a classic. It deserves to be too. Published in 94, it seems to have floated along just under the radar since, but it's well worth a read.

The links in the following link are concerned with his discussions of the future of literature, but the book itself is a piece of writing art.
