stignasty Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Bloc MP Louise Thibault leaves party to sit as an independent Last Updated: Thursday, April 12, 2007 | 1:08 PM ET The Canadian Press MP Louise Thibault says she is leaving the Bloc Québécois to sit as an Independent. Thibault has represented the riding of Rimouski-Neigette-Temiscouata since 2004, when she replaced Suzanne Tremblay. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/20...lt20070412.html It will be interesting to know what prompted her decision. Quote "It may not be true, but it's legendary that if you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country. Which makes you probably knowledgeable about one more country than most Canadians." - Stephen Harper
fellowtraveller Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 I don't know the reason either. But it is hard to imagine that the Bloc caucus is a very cheery place these days. They have gone from the heady days when they were hammering away on a vulnerable PM Martin, things going well with the PQ and a new leader and a PQ majority in sight , Hrper being a non entity in Quebec, adscam providing a boost... to this state of affairs... Quote The government should do something.
