jbg Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 My wife just told me of a nice tradition at my sons' school. Any child who has a birthday gets to raise the US flag over the school on that day, weather permitting. Great for instilling pride. Comments? Related thread here. guyser Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I can bet that the kids really like doing that. And good for the school. But I have to ask, it must be a small school and has less than 186 students. (thats the number of days NYS mandates that kids must be in school) Geez.....what if you are one of triplets? Quote

And people whose birthdays are on a weekend or when school's not in session are out of luck. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone."
